Founder

Brian Wagers

Brian Wagers is the founder of Wagers Capital and a hands-on real estate operator with a track record spanning over 4,000 multifamily units across Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and other Sunbelt markets. He has led the acquisition and management of more than 1,150 units in Northwest Arkansas, Fort Smith, and Tulsa, with an actively managed portfolio of 521 units.

Brian launched Wagers Capital in 2017 to start diversifying his own capital. After building a portfolio of nearly 100 small multifamily units, he began helping family and friends invest alongside him. Since then, he has supported professionals, entrepreneurs, and family offices in building long-term wealth through passive investing, co-GP partnerships, and strategic development. He brings an operator’s mindset, an investor’s discipline, and a passion for regional impact.

Jerry Laxen

Jerry founded Laxen Painting in 1991 and has scaled it to over $3 million in annual sales, serving national clients like Walmart, Tyson Foods, and the University of Arkansas. After more than a decade in single-family real estate, he transitioned into multifamily investing to take advantage of professional management, tenant-paid debt, and economies of scale.

A strong believer in relationships and operational excellence, Jerry now supports Wagers Capital both as an investor and advisor. He enjoys spending time with his family and staying active outdoors.

Legal

Ron Williams has been a licensed attorney for over 37 years and is the founder of Williams Law Group, PLC. His background includes serving as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Walmart, where he oversaw national litigation and major contract negotiations.

She and Brian currently co-own a significant stake in Wagers Capital’s portfolio, with active involvement in more than 500 multifamily units. Jennifer has completed multifamily syndication training and platform-building workshops focused on brand growth and investor experience.
